The Youth Stream is a dedicated resource within the CYMHS extended programs that aims to assist young people to bridge the gap between child and adolescent, and adult services. The team seeks to improve mental health understanding for individuals and orients young people to services within their community.
The RoleAs part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Clinical Nurse Specialist - Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) is an advanced role that provides specialist nursing care and education to patients and their families and clinical leadership to other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist with experience in mental health assessment, complex care coordination, and trauma-informed individual therapies. Knowledge and experience working in mental health services with young people would be ideal. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach, trauma-informed therapy, and experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Details of appointmentPermanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary$109,767 to $115,813 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
