About the role

JMD Hair Art is seeking a qualified and experienced Hairdresser to join our professional team on a full-time basis. We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused individual committed to delivering high-quality hairdressing services and exceptional client experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with clients to assess hair condition and recommend suitable hairstyles, cuts, colours, and treatments.
• Cut, trim, shape, and style hair using professional hairdressing techniques and tools.
• Perform hair colouring, bleaching, highlighting, tinting, balayage, and colour correction services.
• Provide hair treatments including conditioning, scalp treatments, keratin treatments, and other specialised hair care services.
• Shampoo, rinse, and prepare clients' hair for cutting, colouring, and styling services.
• Recommend and promote appropriate hair care products to clients.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
• Maintain salon cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Manage appointments and maintain accurate client service records.
• Keep up to date with current hairdressing trends, techniques, and industry developments.

About you

• Relevant qualification in Hairdressing or a closely related field (mandatory).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time work experience as a Hairdresser.
• Strong knowledge of hair cutting, colouring, styling, and treatment techniques.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Professional presentation and a positive attitude.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and client care.
