Occupational Therapist/Psychologist/Social Worker/Speech Pathologist (Mental Health - Evolve Therapeutic Services)

Provide assessment, intervention, treatment planning and evaluation for infants, children and adolescents involved with Child Safety Services who present with extreme and complex therapeutic and behaviour support needs

The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker or Speech Pathologist (Mental Health - Evolve Therapeutic Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Manage a highly complex caseload with clinical supervision and support based on the level of individual clinical experience
• Provide a comprehensive and flexible mental health service to children, adolescents and their family/carers
• Provide discipline specific intervention and assessment
• Work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or Speech Pathology (or equivalent)
• AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist only)
• Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Driver Licence
• Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent full time
• Base salary ranging from $114,532 - $122,643 per annum

Evolve Therapeutic Services Gold Coast is a multi-discipline, multi-specialty team within the Gold Coast Child and Youth Mental Health Service operating across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service to provide multi-specialty mental health intervention to children and young people (0-18 years) involved with Queensland Child Protection Services with extreme and complex therapeutic and behaviour support needs. Evolve Therapeutic Services Gold Coast is part of a state-wide, cross-government initiative that aims to enhance mental health, promote recovery and wellbeing, and optimise participation in education for children and young people in the care of the Child Safety Services who present with extreme and complex therapeutic and behaviour support needs.
