Electrical Fitter

Pepe's Ducks is looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join our Maintenance team at our South Windsor processing facility. This is a hands-on role supporting our Factory (abattoir) through preventative maintenance, electrical fault finding and breakdown response.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and assist with the repair of electrical faults on production equipment
• Safely disconnect and reconnect motors, drives and plant equipment
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance
• Assist to install, replace and commission electrical components
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals
• Complete maintenance records
• Respond to maintenance calls and requests
• Participate in shutdowns, plant upgrades and after-hours breakdowns
• Work safely while complying with WHS, GMP and food safety requirements

About You

• A trade qualification or proven experience in industrial maintenance.
• A solid electrical background with the ability to assist in electrical fault finding and equipment maintenance.
• Experience working alongside licensed electricians in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out routine maintenance and repairs.
• Welding skills, stainless steel welding highly regarded
• A proactive attitude, strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
