About the role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Facilities Lead to take charge of the professional and efficient management of property infrastructure, records, and administrative support services within the assigned property portfolio. In this role, you will ensure that all facilities are managed in accordance with required standards, legislative frameworks, and best practices in commercial procedures.
A day in the life of the Facilities Lead…
Lead, coach, and develop Facilities Officers and Customer Service Officers to deliver high-quality facilities and property management services.Manage team workloads, resources, and performance to ensure service levels, KPIs and organisational objectives are achieved.Oversee the delivery of preventative and reactive maintenance across a national property portfolio.Coordinate and manage maintenance requests, ensuring works are prioritised, assigned and completed within agreed timeframes.Manage contractor engagement, procurement processes, and service delivery to ensure quality, compliance and value for money.Provide technical expertise and operational support for complex facilities, maintenance, and compliance matters.Lead property projects including acquisitions, disposals, relocations, lease exits, make-good works, and minor capital upgrades.Ensure compliance with lease obligations, statutory requirements, WHS legislation, building codes and organisational standards.Conduct site inspections, condition assessments and quality reviews to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.Respond to critical property incidents and business continuity events, providing escalation support as required.Support strategic initiatives, operational planning and continuous improvement across the property portfolio.
What You Need To Be Successful In This Role…
Tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Property, Engineering, Business, or related field.10+ years' experience in facilities and property management.Strong experience in asset management, maintenance, and service delivery.Proven leadership and team development capability.Experience managing geographically dispersed property portfolios.Demonstrated project management and delivery of multiple concurrent projects.Knowledge of NCC, BCA, disability access requirements, and relevant regulations.Experience with maintenance management systems and property technologies.Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and contract management skills.Experience within disability, community services, health, aged care, or not-for-profit sectors.Proven track record in continuous improvement and operational efficiency.Experience supporting business continuity, emergency management, and incident response.Current Australian Driver’s License and ability to travel.
