Disability Support Worker

At Baldwin Care Collective, we believe every person deserves support that is practical, respectful, and empowering.

We’re seeking a compassionate, mature male (35+) Support Worker to join our team. We have clients all over Newcastle and Lake Macquarie that we are actively recruiting for.

About the Role

You’ll work alongside participants to: Provide hands on support within their homes and in the community. Create safe, comfortable, and functional living spaces. Encourage participants with empathy and patience, respecting their pace and choices. Collaborate with our team to ensure participant wellbeing and dignity remain at the centre of all support.

What We’re Looking For

Experience or interest in supporting people mental health disabilities. Strong communication skills and a non-judgmental approach. Reliability and accountability. Showing up matters to our participants. Ability to work independently while following clear processes. A values-driven mindset: respect, empowerment, and care.

Requirements

• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Police Check and WWCC
• First Aid and CPR
• Completed Cert 3 in Disability or Mental Health (Or completing)
• Flexibility to work across Newcastle, Lake Mac and Lower Hunter
