Physiotherapist - Senior (Emergency)

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapist - Senior (Emergency) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Deliver high level physiotherapy clinical services as part of a multi-professional team
• Undertake high level physiotherapy duties within the Emergency Department

• Initiate, develop, implement and evaluate quality and service improvement activities
• Contribute to and promote emergency department and physiotherapy clinical research activities

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Tertiary degree in Physiotherapy
• Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent part time (60.8 hours per fortnight)
• Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

Physiotherapists within the Emergency Department provide high level physiotherapy clinical services to presenting patients and high-level advice regarding physiotherapy relevant to the emergency setting for staff, service managers and health care consumers.
