We're looking for an experienced Manager, Search Insights & Discoverability to lead the next evolution of search strategy across our portfolio of brands and products.

The Opportunity

Search is rapidly evolving. Traditional SEO now sits alongside AI-powered search experiences, generative engines and emerging discovery channels that influence how customers find and engage with brands.

As Manager, Search Insights & Discoverability, you will lead a specialist team responsible for driving organic search performance, discoverability and visibility across Suncorp's digital ecosystem. You'll own the strategy, insights, measurement and governance for SEO, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and emerging search channels, ensuring our brands remain visible, trusted and discoverable wherever customers search.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, Digital Content & Website Experience, you will work across Product, Brand, Customer Experience, Technology and Analytics teams to translate customer demand and market intelligence into meaningful business outcomes.

More specifically, you will:

Lead Organic Search Strategy and Performance

• Own and deliver the multi-brand search roadmap across SEO, GEO and emerging discovery channels.
• Drive growth in organic Share of Voice, visibility, qualified demand and website search performance.
• Balance customer needs, commercial opportunities, risk and delivery priorities to maximise outcomes.

Generate Actionable Search Insights

• Analyse customer demand, category trends, competitor activity and market opportunities.
• Monitor brand visibility across owned, earned, paid, social, partner and third-party platforms.
• Translate insights into prioritised recommendations that influence business, marketing and digital strategies.

Drive Technical Search Excellence

• Establish SEO and GEO standards, governance frameworks and technical requirements.
• Provide assurance across website enhancements, platform releases and migration programs.
• Identify and manage risks impacting crawlability, indexation, discoverability and performance.

Own Measurement and Experimentation

• Lead reporting and performance measurement across visibility, Share of Voice, citations, traffic and commercial contribution.
• Develop test-and-learn frameworks to improve search outcomes and support data-driven decision making.
• Clearly communicate performance insights, attribution considerations and optimisation opportunities.

Co-Lead OneSearch

• Partner with Brand and Customer Experience teams to align SEO, GEO, SEM and emerging search strategies.
• Create shared insights, planning frameworks, measurement approaches and testing programs.
• Identify opportunities for greater efficiency and growth across the search ecosystem.

Build Capability and Lead a High-Performing Team

• Develop and coach a team of search specialists.
• Drive capability uplift across SEO, GEO and digital discoverability disciplines.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative and high-performance culture.

Manage Agency and Technology Partnerships

• Lead relationships with search agencies and technology providers.
• Ensure clear deliverables, robust methodologies and effective capability transfer.
• Optimise investment and deliver value for money.

Shape the Future of Search

• Stay ahead of changes in search behaviour, AI platforms, algorithms and digital technologies.
• Assess emerging trends and translate them into strategic recommendations that support future growth and capability.

What You'll Bring

• Degree qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, Information Systems, E-Commerce or a related discipline.
• Industry certifications in SEO, GEO, analytics, digital marketing or related areas are desirable.
• Significant experience leading organic search strategy and performance across large, complex, multi-brand digital environments.
• Proven expertise across SEO, GEO and emerging discovery channels.
• Strong experience connecting search performance to customer and commercial outcomes.
• Demonstrated success using insights, experimentation and analytics to drive performance improvements.
• Experience leading specialist teams and influencing senior stakeholders in complex organisations.
• Strong vendor, agency and investment management experience.
• Financial services experience and understanding of evolving customer behaviours will be highly regarded.
