About the role
Borg is one of Australia's largest privately owned manufacturing and building products groups, employing more than 3,500 people across a diverse portfolio of manufacturing, engineering, construction, and timber businesses.
As our Senior Environmental Manager, you'll provide environmental leadership across the Group, managing compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting major operational and development projects.
What you'll be doing
Lead environmental compliance activities across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to licences, approvals, and environmental legislation.Manage environmental monitoring programs covering air, water, noise, waste, biodiversity, and heritage matters.Provide environmental due diligence and risk assessment support for operational and development projects.Build and maintain strong relationships with environmental regulators, local councils, consultants, and stakeholders.Lead responses to environmental audits, inspections, incidents, and compliance assessments.Provide strategic environmental advice to senior leadership and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Group.
About you
Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Ecology, or a related discipline.5+ years' experience in environmental compliance, regulation, or environmental management.Strong knowledge of NSW and other State environmental legislation, approvals, licensing, and regulatory frameworks.Demonstrated experience working with government agencies, regulators, and external stakeholders.Excellent report writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Confident managing multiple projects while influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
