What you will be doing & delivering 

As a Glasshouse Operations Leading Hand, you’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day delivery of glasshouse operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. As a frontline leadership support role, you will lead by example on the floor, providing guidance, training, coordination, and support to operational teams while assisting the Glasshouse Operations Supervisor in delivering productivity, safety, quality and labour performance outcomes. 

• Team Leadership Coordinate daily team activities, model strong work standards, and support onboarding/training while escalating concerns promptly.  
• Operations Delivery Drive daily glasshouse priorities, monitor quality/productivity, and support the team in hitting production targets.  
• Safety & Compliance Champion safe work practices, report hazards/incidents, and support inspections and corrective actions.  
• Reporting & Admin Ensure accurate, timely data entry, labour/production records, and operational documentation.  
• Continuous Improvement Use data to inform performance conversations and help standardize/optimize processes across operations. 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

• Practical experience in horticulture/FMCG/manufacturing environments, with a solid understanding of quality standards, safe work practices, and day-to-day operational processes.  
• Confident in training, guiding, and supporting team members, leading by example with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.  
• Strong coordination skills to manage competing daily priorities in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.  
• Ability to interpret operational data to inform performance conversations and drive continuous improvement.  
• Accountable, proactive, and collaborative – committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and high-performing team culture.
