Perth Head & Neck Surgery (PHNS) is a busy and well-established ENT specialist practice located at Hollywood Medical Centre in Nedlands. Our practice is home to five experienced and highly regarded ENT surgeons, each with their own private practice within the company.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and reliable Medical Secretary to join our friendly and supportive team, working approximately four days per week.

About the role

You will play an important role in the smooth running of the practice, including:

• Coordinating and managing the set-up and administration for our newest ENT surgeon. Our team will be there to support you, every step of the way.
• Processing patient information with exceptional attention to detail (Genie experience essential).
• Answering phones and attending to emails.
• Booking and coordinating consultation clinics and surgical procedures through Genie software.
• Liaising with hospitals, theatres and anaesthetist rooms.
• Accurate consultation and surgical billing.
• Maintaining and ensuring the timely transfer and management of medical correspondence, both incoming and outgoing, to referring GPs, specialists and patients.
• Providing professional and friendly support to patients and our medical team.

About you

We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary with at least two years’ experience in a surgical or specialist medical practice.

You will ideally have:

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to work independently while being a supportive team member.
• A calm, professional and friendly manner.
• Experience with Genie medical software.
• A genuine commitment to providing excellent patient service.
