About the Role

The Finance and Accounting department is responsible for the timely provision and analysis of financial information to all business units and to assist them in achieving their objectives. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and acting on financial information to support various departments. 

Key responsibilities of the role include: 

• Month end and year-end financial closing
• Preparing of monthly reconciliations
• Distributing month end reports
• Involvement in the preparation of annual budgets
• Liaising with and providing accounting support to Operational Managers
• Assisting with the annual audit process
• Review credit card transaction coding and journal postings
• Process payroll entries and reconcile payroll accounts
• Reviewing of weekly and monthly EFTs
• Providing support to the Financial Controller and Accounting Manager

A highly organised individual with good problem solving abilities, you will approach everything you do with energy, drive, and a commitment to excellence.

Your Skills

You will need to bring your exceptional Accounting skills to the fore.  This includes:

• Degree within Accounting discipline
• CA / CPA Qualification or currently working towards
• Proficient Excel skills
• At least 1 year experience as an Assistant Accountant in a medium to large organisation (preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
