Nelson Surveyors is looking for an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join our team. We deliver surveying services across infrastructure, construction, environmental and heritage projects throughout South Australia. As a boutique and agile consultancy, we've built a reputation for delivering practical surveying solutions and trusted advice to government, industry and project partners. We combine practical surveying expertise with modern technology including terrestrial laser scanning, drone mapping, LiDAR and advanced modelling workflows.

We have adopted the latest technology including the Leica RTC700 and Riegl VZ-600i. All training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Engineering and construction surveying

• Set-out and as-constructed surveys

• Topographic and detail surveys

• Survey control establishment and management

• Laser scanning and reality capture projects

• Survey computations and data processing

• Preparation of drawings, models and deliverables

• Client liaison and project coordination

• Quality assurance of survey data and deliverables

About you

• Qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science or a related discipline

• Experience in engineering, construction or infrastructure surveying

• Strong understanding of survey control and construction workflows

• Experience using GNSS, total stations and survey software

• Ability to work independently and manage project responsibilities

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• Current driver's licence and White Card

• Experience with laser scanning, point cloud processing, drones, Leica, Trimble, AutoCAD or 12d software will be highly regarded
