Join a team where your passion for paediatric care truly makes a difference. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Trauma Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). The Trauma CNS will be responsible for providing specialist Trauma knowledge and clinical care to relevant patient cohorts. This position will require professional knowledge, judgement and advanced skills specific to paediatric trauma services. What you'll be doing
 

The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) is an extended role within the scope of a Registered Nurse/Midwife that provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network 
Acts as an appropriate and effective role model to promote culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. 
Provides senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service. 
Provides advanced skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision making while working closely with managers and other senior clinicians. 
•Exercises extended autonomy of decision making; 
•Exercises professional knowledge and judgement in providing complex care requiring advanced clinical skills. 
•Undertakes leadership in the development of nursing specialty clinical practice service delivery in the ward/service; or 
•Undertakes primary case management within a defined specialty involving both inpatient and community based services.
