About the role
Proteomics International Laboratories Ltd (ASX: PIQ) is an Australian biotechnology company developing innovative blood-based diagnostic tests that enable earlier disease detection and improve patient outcomes.
Our growing portfolio includes PromarkerD, a clinically validated test for predicting chronic kidney disease in people with diabetes, together with an exciting pipeline of novel diagnostics including PromarkerEndo for endometriosis and PromarkerEso for oesophageal cancer.
As our clinical programs continue to expand in Australia and internationally, we're looking for an experienced Senior Clinical Scientist to play a leading role in generating the clinical evidence that drives our next generation of precision diagnostics.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of science, medicine and commercial innovation.
You'll lead the design and delivery of clinical studies, analyse complex clinical and biomarker datasets, and generate the evidence that supports product development, regulatory approval, reimbursement and commercial adoption. You'll collaborate with leading clinicians, researchers and international partners while contributing to diagnostic technologies with the potential to improve healthcare worldwide.
If you enjoy combining scientific excellence with real-world impact, this role offers the chance to influence products from translational research through to commercialisation.
In this role you will:
Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of clinical studies across multiple diagnostic programs.
Analyse and interpret clinical and biomarker datasets to generate meaningful scientific and clinical insights.
Prepare scientific publications, conference presentations, technical reports, grant applications and clinical evidence packages.
Support regulatory submissions, reimbursement activities and health technology assessments.
Manage ethics submissions, governance approvals and study documentation, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements.
Build strong collaborative relationships with clinicians, hospitals, research organisations and Key Opinion Leaders.
Contribute to the development and validation of diagnostic algorithms and predictive models.
Work collaboratively across Clinical Science, Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Commercial and Laboratory teams to advance products through development and commercialisation.
You'll be an experienced clinical scientist who is passionate about translating innovative research into clinical practice.
You will ideally have:
8+ years' experience in clinical research, diagnostics, biotechnology, medical devices or a related healthcare field.
Experience leading clinical studies for regulated healthcare products.
Strong knowledge of biomarker validation, diagnostic development and translational research.
Experience analysing clinical datasets using R, SAS, SPSS, Stata or similar statistical software.
A strong publication record and experience preparing scientific and technical reports.
Experience supporting regulatory submissions, reimbursement activities or health technology assessments (desirable).
Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A Master's or PhD in Biomedical Science, Clinical Research, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Medical Science or a related discipline.
At Proteomics International you'll have the opportunity to:
Develop innovative diagnostic technologies with genuine global healthcare impact.
Work with a highly experienced multidisciplinary team spanning clinical science, laboratory science and product development.
Collaborate with leading clinicians, hospitals and international research partners.
Publish high-quality scientific research and present at national and international conferences.
Influence products progressing from research through to commercialisation.
Build your career in a growing ASX-listed biotechnology company where your work directly contributes to improving patient outcomes.
If you're ready to help shape the future of precision diagnostics, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and join us in bringing innovative diagnostic technologies to patients around the world.
