The Opportunity

As a Senior People Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to VicGrid's Executive Directors and Directors, helping shape the capability, culture and workforce that will deliver Victoria's energy future.

Reporting to the Director, People and Capability, you will join a small, passionate and high-performing team with a unique opportunity to help build the people foundations of one of Victoria's newest and significant public sector organisations.  You will anticipate future workforce needs, solve complex organisational challenges and design practical, evidence-based people solutions that enable organisational performance and sustainable growth.

What you will deliver

• Partner with Executive Directors and Directors to provide strategic and operational people advice across the employee lifecycle, building leadership capability and supporting high-performing teams.
• Lead workforce planning, organisational development, talent and succession initiatives that strengthen organisational capability and enable delivery of VicGrid's strategic objectives.
• Balance empathy with sound judgement to provide expert guidance on complex employee relations, workplace matters and organisational change, ensuring decisions align with legislation, the VicGrid Enterprise Agreement and organisational policy.
• Use people insights, workforce data and analytics to inform business decisions, support evidence-based recommendations and drive impactful people outcomes.

What you will bring

• Demonstrated success as a Senior People Partner, influencing executive leaders and navigating complex workplace matters, with strong knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, employment legislation, employee relations in fast paced environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder management across all levels, with the ability to establish trusted partnerships, navigate sensitive issues and deliver practical solutions that balance people and business outcomes.
• Sunstantial expertise across workforce planning, organisational development, organisational change and employee relations, underpinned by a sound understanding of employment legislation and contemporary people practices.
• Proven ability to use data and people analytics to identify trends, build business cases and influence workforce and organisational decisions.
