About the role

Fetch some smiles—and share a lunch date too!

Spend a warm and cheerful hour with a lovely elderly lady who enjoys getting out for lunch and sharing good company—and who absolutely lights up at the sight of a friendly dog.

Your furry companion will be the star of the visit, bringing comfort, joy, and plenty of smiles. Alongside your pup, you might head out for a relaxed lunch, enjoy a chat, and share those simple, happy moments that a wagging tail can create.

These visits are all about companionship—with a special touch of pet therapy magic. If you and your dog enjoy gentle outings, friendly connections, and brightening someone’s day, this could become a truly heartwarming part of your week.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

Lunch time visit would be our clients' preferred time of day.

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
