Quality Manager (HSEQ)

About the opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead the governance and continual improvement of Benmax’s Integrated Management System, covering ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Based in our HSEQ team and working across all our Divisions, including Design, Projects, Service and Fabrication, you’ll bring quality, safety and environmental performance together as one practical framework.

You’ll own certification for all three standards, including every surveillance and recertification audit, and you’ll be the person leadership turns to for a clear view of how the business is performing across quality, safety and environment. There’s plenty of hands on work too: managing non-conformances, coordinating audits, and building the dashboards and reporting that keep the whole team on the same page.

You can expect to:

• Lead the development, implementation and continual improvement of Benmax’s Integrated Management System across quality, safety and environment
• Own certification status for ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, including all surveillance and recertification audits
• Manage the QMS day to day, including objectives, performance reporting and management review meetings
• Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and lessons learned relating to product and service quality
• Manage the OHS Management System, including hazard identification, risk assessment and incident investigation
• Manage the Environmental Management System, including aspects and impacts registers, objectives and targets
• Develop and manage an integrated internal audit programme covering all three standards
• Coordinate external certification, client and regulatory audits, and ensure findings are closed out on time
• Develop dashboards that give leadership one view of quality, safety and environmental performance
• Provide expert advice, training and coaching on management systems, document control and auditing

What you’ll bring

Essential

• Demonstrated experience managing an Integrated Management System covering quality, safety and environment, ideally across a multi-site organisation
• Extensive experience managing ISO 9001, with working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
• Experience coordinating internal and external audits across multiple standards
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence building relationships with clients, regulators and certification bodies
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem solving skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience using electronic management system software

Desirable

• Tertiary qualification in Quality, WHS, Environment, Engineering, Business or a related discipline
• Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001, ISO 45001 or ISO 14001
• Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing or industrial sectors
• Experience leading transition or integration projects between separate management systems
