Grounds Maintenance Team Member

The Opportunity

SCIS Group is a specialist maintenance company trusted by leading Government and Commercial clients across Australia. We’re looking for a motivated Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our Newcastle team. This is your chance to step into a secure, full-time role where no two days are the same, and your skills are genuinely appreciated.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Mow, edge, and trim lawns to maintain a tidy and well-manicured appearance

• Prune and shape shrubs, hedges, and trees to ensure neatness and plant health

• Weed, mulch, and prepare garden beds for planting

• Blow and clear leaves, clippings, and debris from walkways and driveways

• Plant and care for a variety of gardens and landscapes

• Undertake weeding and apply herbicides in line with safety guidelines

• Prepare, clean, and maintain all equipment to ensure reliable performance

• Perform general garden maintenance tasks as required

About You

You take pride in your work, enjoy variety, and have a practical, hands-on approach.

• Previous experience in lawn and garden maintenance

• Horticulture Certificate (preferred but not essential)

• Current C Class Driver’s Licence

• Ability to complete a Police Check and Pre-employment Medical (arranged for you)

• A proactive attitude with a commitment to quality and safety
