Based in Scoresby, Victoria, this is a hands-on Finance Analyst role supporting management reporting, commercial analysis and business performance insights across an established Pharmaceutical/FMCG manufacturing business. The role is contract with the possibility of permanent ongoing based on business growth.
Reporting to the FPA Manager, you will partner with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to turn complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights. This role is well suited to a finance-qualified professional who enjoys working with data, improving reporting processes and helping leaders make informed business decisions.
In this role, you will be responsible for outcomes across financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting support, month-end reporting, variance analysis, Power BI reporting, process improvement and ad hoc commercial analysis.
In a typical month, you can expect to:
Build and maintain financial models to support budgets, forecasts and commercial decision-making.
Support month-end reporting, including P&L analysis, variance analysis, revenue and expense reviews, and performance commentary.
Create, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports using multiple data sources to improve visibility of financial and operational performance.
Identify and implement reporting improvements, automation opportunities and data quality enhancements.
Partner with finance and non-finance stakeholders across sales, marketing, procurement, manufacturing and logistics to support informed business decisions.
Support ad hoc financial analysis and business projects as required.
You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with data, solving problems and translating analysis into practical recommendations. You are confident working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders and bring strong attention to detail, accuracy and data integrity.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards completion, would be highly regarded.
Experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proven analytical capability.
Power BI reporting capability, including the ability to create dashboards, reports and visualisations that support stakeholder decision-making.
Experience with SQL, DAX, PowerQuery or PowerPivot would be advantageous.
Experience working with ERP systems, with Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
Exposure to FMCG, manufacturing or another product-based environment would be highly regarded.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging both finance and non-finance audiences.
A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to improve reporting processes through automation, standardisation and better use of data.
