About the Role:

We're currently seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team with creative flair on a permanent full-time basis. We are seeking a passionate person with experience in creating delicious seasonal food for our cabinet display.

The applicant must be able to work in a busy cafe, pub or restaurant environment with strong communication skills, must be able to work independently and with the team.

The role involves preparing and cooking menu items to our high standards, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen, and collaborating with other staff members to deliver exceptional service.

Requirements for the role include previous experience in a busy cafe, pub or restaurant, a culinary arts qualification, and a passion for cooking.

A Certificate III level culinary arts qualification is required for this position.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

A minimum of 2+ years of cafe, pub or restaurant experience is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Food preparation: Assisting with washing, chopping and preparing ingredients.

2. Kitchen Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment, cleaning work stations and equipment.

3. Assisting with receiving, storing & food rotation.

4. Preparing dishes according to recipes to meet our quality standards.

5. Assisting Section Chefs with required tasks during service.

6. Following all food safety and hygiene regulations and requirements.

7. A current Food Safety Certificate is required before starting.

8. Applicants must possess a current Food Safety Certificate at the time of application.

9. Learning new techniques & developing skills with on the job training.
