HSEQ & Facilities Officer

Based in Sydney, this HSEQ & Facilities Officer role operates on a 70% WHS and 30% workplace operations split, with WHS as the primary focus, and offers the opportunity to lead HSEQ outcomes across Australia, provide remote WHS support to the New Zealand office, drive compliance and ISO audit readiness, and deliver trusted advice to the business!
Key Responsibilities:Champion, coordinate, and drive compliance of HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality) activities at Teletrac Navman Australia and NZLead ISO 45001 and other ISO audits required for Teletrac Navman Australia and support global ISO activities as required. This will involve working with external auditors and consultants as necessary.Manage documentation related to HSEQ, ensuring that record keeping & reporting requirements are completedLead the coordination of health & safety committee meetings and provide guidance to staff when required around required health & safety proceduresBe the facilities lead for the Australian head office in Sydney and assist other Teletrac Navman office where neededAssist with everyday office duties e.g. ordering supplies, liaising with contractors and building managementProvide assistance with health & Safety inductions for new employees and coordinate required health & safety trainings for staff e.g. first aiders, fire warden
Essential:Must have certificate IV – Frontline Work, Health & SafetyProven experience leading and managing ISO audits (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 27001)Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation (NZ exposure highly regarded)5 years + relevant experience in HSEQ in a corporate work environmentStrong communication skillsNice to Have:Experience supporting multi-site or cross-regional operations (AU/NZ)Exposure to corporate / office-based environmentsExperience balancing WHS responsibilities with workplace operations or facilitiesExperience working with external auditors and consultantsFamiliarity with workplace safety technology, reporting tools or compliance systems
