Oho connects to 23+ government registers to continuously verify right-to-work credentials across the entire employee lifecycle, and today it's trusted by 150+ organisations to help protect 4.2 million vulnerable Australians across five high-stakes sectors.
What you'll doOho is currently undertaking a significant technical transformation, rebuilding its product from the ground up and migrating customers to the new platform. As a result, now is an exceptional time to join the business and play a meaningful role in shaping its future.The opportunity is for an AI Product Engineer to join the small, high-impact team. The role will report directly to the CTO and will play a hands-on part in building Oho's new platform, working across the full stack to ship features that matter.
What you'll doOwn features end to end, from spotting a genuine customer need to shipping across a tech stack covering: Java, Python, TypeScript and React.Bring real AI fluency to how you and the team works: use AI tools to meaningfully multiply your own output day to day, and look for well-bounded, high-value ways to bring AI into the product itself.Think and act like a product owner. Propose what's next, work from light specs, get close to customers, and don't wait to be handed detailed requirements.Help ship a major platform rebuild, joining a small team mid-way through migrating around 150 customers onto Oho's new platform.Hold yourself to a high bar on accuracy. In this domain, a wrong result isn't just a bug, it can be a safety risk.
What you'll bringReal, hands-on AI proficiency, not just familiarity, with concrete examples of using AI tools to multiply your own output.Strong product instincts and the ability to translate customer needs into working software with minimal hand-holding.Comfort across a modern full-stack (Java, Python, TypeScript, React). You don't need to be expert in all four on day one.High energy and genuine self-direction, comfortable acting independently and owning outcomes.Nice to have: a background in verification, screening, credentialing or regtech.
