Behaviour Support Practitioner

As the Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will:

• Develop BSPs and ICSPs in conjunction with the child or young person, their care teams and other stakeholders and delivering training in the implementation of the BSP and ICSPs

• Ensure BSPs meet compliance requirements 

• Provide advice to stakeholders in relation to specialist services and referrals to support the child or young person 

• Develop & review tools and processes required relevant to role (e.g. BSP plans, evaluation processes, behaviour support policies, data collation, etc)

• Provide training to teams in relation to understanding Trauma, implementing BSPs/ICSPs, TCI and the CARE model.

• Attend Team Meetings where required to provide support in the implementation of BSPs and provide training, advice, or instruction in relation to behavioural support

About you:

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, or relevant field.

• Registered with NDIS as a Behaviour Support Practitioner

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating individualised Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) to support children and young people in OOHC

• Demonstrated high-level written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability and willingness to undertake travel as required 

• Clear and Current National Criminal History Check.

• Working With Children Check clearance.
