Dugald River mine is one of the world’s top 10 Zinc mine operations, which has been producing zinc concentrate for customers around the world since 2017. 

The mine is committed to a low-carbon future. In April 2023 the Dugald River Solar Farm began operations, supplying a third of the mine’s power, and reducing emissions by 33% and this is just the start of its renewable energy transition. 

Dugald River employs around 750 employees and contractors on a mix of fly-in, fly-out and local residential basis.

Team Leader – LV Mobile Maintenance

We currently have a fantastic career opportunity available for an experienced Team Leader – LV Mobile Maintenance to join our Maintenance team at Dugald River Mine. 

Reporting to the maintenance superintendent you will ensure all critical and non-critical maintenance tasks work performed supports the site deliverable targets and is planned and executed in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Ensure planning, reliability, HSEC requirements & relevant statutory requirements are met.

This role is based on an 8/7 DS, 7/6 NS roster, bus in bus out from Cloncurry or Mount Isa or FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane.

Qualifications, skills & Experience

• Mechanical or Auto Electrical Trade qualified
• Minimum 2 Years mobile maintenance leadership in underground operations.
• Experience in leading teams of trades (mechanical, Auto electrical & fabrication), trade assistance & support staff in workshop & field environments.
• Demonstrated functional leadership in the areas of mobile maintenance, planning & reliability.
• Sound understanding of reliability processes & requirements for mobile fleet.
• Experience using SAP, preferably for Mobile Maintenance Management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

 Responsibilities include

• Supervise and lead in the delivery of key safety and operational targets (KPI’s)
• When required, Assume the accountabilities of the Supervisor for roster and leave coverage.
• Ensure the work teams are adhering to a Mobile Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Framework for delivery of maintenance activities.
• Ensure the work teams are adhering to a Mobile Maintenance Reliability Framework for delivery of reliability maintenance.
• Oversee the selection and engagement of required resources for delivery of mobile maintenance activities.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement through our change management process.
