Catering HQ is seeking talented and dedicated Head Chefs to join our amazing kitchens at Brothers Leagues Club Cairns and Fuller Sports Club. We have room to grow and develop your culinary career with restaurant and events service at our venues.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must display excellent prep, cooking and plating skills
• Demonstrate a keen interest in growing food trends, techniques and the ability to contribute to menu planning
• Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes
• Ability to contribute to menu planning
• Immaculate presentation and grooming
• Ability to handle large service numbers
• Exceptional customer care and service skills and knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS
• Excellent supportive and leadership skill set
• Confidence to take charge and own the result, yet humble enough to listen and learn
• Honest and results focused – able to give and receive genuine feedback and take action as needed
• Immaculate presentation and grooming
• Should be able to control and manage daily kitchen functions

KEY QUALITIES:

• A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
• Be flexible with working hours
• A team spirit, bright and positive demeanour
