Fuel Tanker Driver (4/4 PM Roster)

Emerald Carrying Company (ECC) is seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and professional Fuel Tanker Driver to join our growing Townsville Depot.

The Role    

• Loading road train fleet from the local Townsville terminals each shift
• Completing local retail deliveries, 
• Hooking up train road combinations for preparation of loading, 
• Adhere to fatigue management requirements, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations, and all applicable road transport legislation,
• Complete delivery paperwork, electronic records, and driver logbooks accurately and efficiently.

Roster

• 4 Night On / 4 Off Roster - Permanent Night Position
• 2:30pm start each shift - up to 14 hours shift

• Extensive paid in-house fuel tanker training before transitioning to solo driving responsibilities,
• Full-time, permanent employment with long-term career opportunities,
• Competitive hourly rates + allowances + weekly pay cycles,
• Well-maintained modern fleet with onsite workshop and truck wash facilities,
• Strong focus on safety, compliance, and driver wellbeing.

• Current MC licence with Road Ranger experience,
• Current Dangerous Goods (DG) licence or willingness to obtain,
• Previous bulk fuel or tanker experience highly regarded, but not essential,
• Safe Load Program (SLP) and Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation highly regarded; assistance available for successful applicants to obtain these qualifications,
• Reliable work ethic with excellent communication skills.
