Injection Moulding Die Setter / Afternoon Shift Supervisor

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for helping ensure the safe, efficient and productive operation of the afternoon shift. You will combine your technical injection moulding and die-setting experience with the ability to lead a team, troubleshoot issues and keep production running smoothly.

Please note: This is a specialist injection moulding position. Applicants must have previous hands-on experience as an Injection Moulding Die Setter.

Key responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising and supporting production employees on the afternoon shift.

• Ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are met.

• Completing injection moulding die changeovers across a range of machine and mould sizes.

• Performing die insert changes and adjustments.

• Using an overhead crane and forklift to safely complete die changes.

• Completing colour and masterbatch changes.

• Starting up and shutting down injection moulding machines.

• Troubleshooting moulding, machine and production issues.

• Applying practical problem-solving techniques to minimise downtime.

• Monitoring product quality and identifying issues early.

About you

• Demonstrated experience in plastic injection moulding and die setting.

• Previous experience supervising, leading or mentoring production staff, or the demonstrated capability to step into a supervisory role.

• Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, die changes and machine operation.

• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A proactive, practical and "can-do" attitude.

• The ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions under pressure.

• The ability to influence outcomes and build a positive team culture.

• A current forklift licence.

• A hands-on approach and willingness to be actively involved in production.
