About the role
Most marketing jobs put you in a box. One channel. One brief. One thin slice of the funnel, repeated until you forget why you got into this in the first place.
This role is the opposite of that.
A LITTLE ABOUT US
We're Henderson Advocacy, Australia's leading residential and commercial buyers agency. We've purchased over $1 billion in property, secure 83% of deals off market for our clients, and run one of the most powerful education driven marketing engines in the country.
Behind that engine is a marketing team that ships. Ads, funnels, email, content, events, offers, all of it, all the time. We're now looking for a Marketing Coordinator to sit inside that engine, learn every part of how it works, and grow into a genuine right hand across the whole function.
THE ROLE
This is a hands on, generalist role built to support. You will get real exposure to every part of the marketing function: launching offers, running email campaigns, writing copy, posting social, designing content, keeping landing pages current, and building the systems that hold it all together.
It is creative and analytical in the same breath. You might be drafting social captions in the morning and pulling campaign performance numbers in the afternoon. No two days look the same.
You will start execution heavy while you learn how we operate. Prove you can be trusted with the work, and the responsibility grows fast. The goal is simple: become the person this marketing team cannot run without.
THIS COULD BE YOUR MOVE IF
We care less about a perfect CV than about the right person at the right moment. See if you recognise yourself here.
● You're at a junior agency and tired of being split across ten clients. You want to pour everything into one brand, watch your work actually land, and stop switching context every twenty minutes. Here you get one brand, one team, and the payoff of seeing what you build compound over time.
● You come from PR or communications and want the performance side. You can write, you can shape a story, you know how to make people care. Now you want the other half: ads, funnels, data, the numbers under the narrative. This is where you become a full stack marketer, not just a great communicator.
● You're a video editor or content creator built for more than the timeline. You can cut, you can shoot, you know what stops the scroll. But you see the bigger picture and you want a seat at it: strategy, offers, campaigns, not just briefs handed down to you. Here your content instinct turns into a marketing brain.
● You've got a marketing degree and a year or two behind you. You learned the theory, you've done some of the doing, and now you want to learn everything, fast, somewhere that actually rewards growth. This role is a front row seat to how a high performing marketing team really operates.
● You're in house somewhere that moves at a crawl. Every idea dies in an approval chain. Nothing ships. You're bored. You want pace, ownership, and a team that gets things live this week, not next quarter.
● You've been running social and want the full stack. You've been boxed into captions and calendars. You want email, paid, design, funnels, the lot. This is your shot to stop being the social one and become a complete marketer.
If two or three of those sounded like you, keep reading.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
● Some runs on the board. One to two years in a marketing, communications or design role. A strong portfolio or coursework counts if you are earlier in the journey.
● The qualification. A degree in marketing or a closely related field.
● Words that work. Strong written communication and an eye for detail that catches what others miss.
● Tool ready. Confidence with, or a real hunger to learn, tools like Canva, an email marketing platform, a CRM, and social scheduling.
● Genuine range. You can move between creative work and analytical work in the same day without dropping either.
● Self driven. Organised and self motivated. Happy to take direction, quick to spot what needs doing before anyone asks.
● Sydney based. Able to work full time from our office.
WHY THIS ROLE
This role is built to grow. You start close to the ground, doing the work that keeps campaigns moving, and you take on more strategic and independent responsibility as you build a track record. Over time, the aim is for you to become a genuine right hand across the whole marketing function. The ceiling is wherever your ability takes you.
THIS IS NOT THE ROLE FOR YOU IF
● You want to specialise on day one. This is a generalist seat. If you only ever want to do one thing, you will feel boxed in.
● You need constant direction. We train properly, but we move fast and we back people who take initiative.
● You think some tasks are beneath you. Everyone here does the unglamorous bits when they need doing. Ego does not ship campaigns.
● You want to work from home. This one is in office, in the room, in the mix.
● Good enough is your standard. It is not ours.
HOW TO APPLY
Send your resume and a short note telling us which of the backgrounds above sounds like you, and why this role is your move. Portfolios, links, and examples of work you're proud of all help. Bonus points for a 60 to 90 second Loom, because we want to feel your energy, not just read your CV.
We're interviewing as strong applications land, so don't sit on it.
