Senior Tax Accountant – Public Practice

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant for our client who is a well‑established and growing public practice firm in Keysborough. About the Role

You’ll work closely with the Managers and Partners while managing a diverse portfolio of SME clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.

• Providing high‑quality taxation and business advisory services to small‑to‑medium business clients.

• Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor on complex matters, including Division 7A.

• Coaching and mentoring junior accountants to support their development.

• Staying current with legislative changes and emerging tax issues.

About You

You’re a confident communicator with strong technical skills and a proactive, reliable work style. You will have:

• A degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or related field.

• CA or CPA qualification (completed or near completion).

• 6–8 years’ experience in public practice, including 2–3 years in a senior or manager‑level role.

• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation law and hands‑on experience with Xero.

• Advanced Microsoft Office, Xero, BGL and related software’s skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accountability in your work.

• A valid Victorian driver’s licence and your own transport.
