Service Technician / Electrician

Rigtech Pty Ltd is one of Australia's leading providers of man and material hoists to the construction industry. We pride ourselves on delivering safe, reliable vertical transport solutions to major commercial and residential construction projects across Australia.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrician to join our NSW operations team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role working on a fleet of construction hoists based in Sydney. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, fault finding, maintenance and repair of man and material hoists on some of Australia's largest construction projects.

No two days are the same, and you'll work closely with our mechanical technicians, supervisors and site teams to ensure our equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission construction hoists.

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults.

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Conduct safety inspections and testing.

• Complete service reports and maintenance records.

• Liaise professionally with site managers and clients.

• Participate in an on-call roster when required.

About You

You'll be a qualified electrician who enjoys solving problems and working in the construction industry.

Essential Requirements

• Current NSW Electrical Licence.

• Current Driver Licence.

• Experience with motor drives

• Experience with limit switches

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Commitment to workplace safety.

• Excellent communication skills.

• White Card.

Highly Regarded

• Experience with construction hoists, tower cranes or industrial lifting equipment.

• PLC or variable speed drive (VSD) experience.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• EWP, Working at Heights or High Risk Work licences.
