The Sails Motel is a recently renovated 22 room boutique motel located in the heart of Brunswick Heads.

We are seeking a motivated candidate for our front desk and guest services role.

The applicant would require availability over weekends, weekdays and weeknights with flexibility on shifts.

As the first point of contact for The Sails you have the following qualities

• Previous experience in front of house or hotel/motel hospitality

• Strong communication & customer service skills

• Initiative and a great attention to detail

• Proficiency with computers, preferably mac

• A well groomed and professional appearance

• A positive focus with a passion for the hospitality industry

• Confidence to work independently & without supervision

• The ability to problem solve , multi task & remain calm and friendly under pressure

Preferred:

• Availability for 4 set shifts per week on Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun with 11am starts into early evenings with a flexible attitude

• Little Hotelier/ Site Minder experience

• RSA

Duties include:

• Guest relations including check in & check out

• Reservations by phone, email & in person

• Monitoring email inbox & phone enquiries 

• Processing deposits & payments and managing the motels booking system

• Monitoring external and internal booking site's administrative and communication capabilities

• Overseeing Housekeeping staff and daily room inspections

• Provide good customer relations at all times

• Maintaining reception, bar, & pool areas

• Some bar & retail sales

• Admin tasks as required
