About the role
South Burnett CTC Inc (CTC) is a community-driven organisation dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals across the South Burnett region. We provide a wide range of services, including Foster Care, Residential Care, Family and Youth Services, Housing and Homelessness Support, and Disability Services.
Our mission is to break down barriers and promote equal opportunities for all community members. We are committed to creating environments where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected, particularly focusing on the rights and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
The Youth Worker within the Transitions Team will play a crucial role in supporting young people aged 15 to 25 transitioning from state care to independence. This includes developing and implementing individual transition plans, providing tailored support, and connecting young individuals with essential resources for successful independent living.
The successful candidate will engage with young people, assist them in achieving their goals, and collaborate with other community services to ensure comprehensive support is provided.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in youth work or community services, with a focus on child protection and human services. The role requires empathy and a commitment to cultural sensitivity, as well as the ability to manage time effectively and maintain client documentation.
This part-time position offers a salary based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS) at Level 3.1, which is $40.49 per hour, plus salary packaging options.
