Centre Manager

We are urgently seeking an experienced and confident Centre Manager to join us at South Perth Early Learning School.

You will be leading a team of dedicated educators, upholding outstanding outcomes for children and families, and taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the service. You will have the backing of an experienced management team — but the autonomy, and the trust, to lead a centre.

About the Role

As Centre Manager, you will be working closely with two Centre Directors who are passionate about making South Perth Early Learning School the number one long daycare in South Perth.  

Working closely with the Centre Directors, you will support the day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.  You will mentor and inspire educators, ensure compliance, assist with programming, build meaningful relationships with families and be part of creating a fun and welcoming culture where children learn, parents feel happy to come in and drop off their little ones, and families thrive. 

As a key member of our leadership team, you will focus on continuous improvement, support quality outcomes and contribute to achieving and maintaining excellence under the National Quality Framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Directors in the day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.

• Be the face of the service as the lift doors open and families, staff and visitors arrive. 

• Foster reflective practice and promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

• Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

• Assist with staffing, rostering, occupancy, compliance, and the smooth day-to-day operation of the service.

• Contribute to Quality Improvement Planning (QIP), Assessment and Rating preparation, and ongoing service improvement.

• Build strong, respectful, and genuine partnerships with children, families, educators, and the wider community.

• Maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS), Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and SPELS policies and procedures.

What you'll bring

• Experience with QikKids essential !

• ACECQA approved Early Childhood Education qualification - Diploma or higher

• Experience leading within an early learning setting, ideally in large services 

• Experience with the Assessment and Rating process beneficial 

• Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and EYLF

• Excellent organisational and leadership skills

• Current Working with Children Check and relevant clearances required for the role, including National Child Safety Training.

• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
