Children and Young People Engagement Project Officer

• Band 6: $96,752 - $105,460 plus 12% superannuation (pro rata)
• Part-time, fixed term to July 2028
• Up to 24 hours across 3-4 days a week

About the Role

Lead the implementation of the VicHealth Partners In Place project - Centring Young Voices: Shaping Baw Baw Together, strengthening Council's capacity to meaningfully engage children and young people in planning and decision-making.

Working across Council and with schools, early years services, and health and wellbeing partners, the position will establish sustainable participation pathways that embed the voices and lived experiences of children and young people into Council policy, planning, service design and health and wellbeing initiatives.

About the Successful Candidate

You're organised, proactive and confident managing competing priorities, with experience in community engagement, project delivery and co-design. Importantly, you're committed to creating safe, inclusive opportunities that empower children and young people to have their voices heard and shape better outcomes. If you’re passionate about community-led change and have experience building partnerships, delivering projects and translating community voices into practical action, we would love to hear from you.
