Applicants can expect to join a technically skilled workforce focused on reliability, performance, and safe execution of mechanical works.Role Description The Mechanical Supervisor oversees day-to-day mechanical maintenance and construction activities for rotating and fixed plant equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of work. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating maintenance tasks, assigning work to technicians, monitoring progress, and conducting inspections on equipment such as mills, crushers. The role involves implementing preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting mechanical issues, verifying adherence to procedures and standards, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. The Mechanical Supervisor also supports continuous improvement initiatives, promotes a strong safety culture, and liaises with clients, engineers, and OEM representatives as needed.QualificationsStrong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task allocation, and performance monitoring.Proficiency in preventive maintenance and maintenance practices for rotating and fixed plant equipment.Experience in maintenance management, including planning, scheduling, and documentation of mechanical works.Competence in inspection activities, fault diagnosis, and verification of equipment condition.Relevant trade qualification or mechanical engineering background (e.g., mechanical fitter, mechanical engineer).Demonstrated experience in heavy industry or mining, with exposure to mills and crushers.Solid understanding of workplace health and safety standards and risk management in industrial environments.Ability to interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and maintenance specifications.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.Willingness to work on-site, at times for extended periods, and adapt to changing operational priorities.
