Shutdown Boilermakers & Mechanical Fitters – Power Station Outage

An established and reputable engineering firm is seeking experienced and motivated Boilermakers and Mechanical Fitters to join the team for an immediate start on a Power Station outage near Chinchilla.

This is a major outage project with consistent hours, strong rates, and accommodation provided.

Roster:

• Monday to Saturday – 11-hour shifts

• Accommodation provided for the duration of the shut

The Role

You will be part of a structured shutdown crew working across fixed plant equipment within a Power Station environment. Duties will include but are not limited to:

• ROM bin wear liner replacement

• Breaker refurbishments

• Feeder refurbishments

• Chute inspections and wear plate replacement

• Sizer refurbishments

• Crusher overhauls

Work will involve heavy mechanical tasks, structural fabrication, confined space entry, rigging support, and working at heights in an outage environment.

Requirements

• Trade Qualified Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter

• Previous Power Station Experience (highly regarded)

• Minimum 2+ years of Power Station experience required

• Ability to pass D&A test

• Current Driver's Licence

• White Card

• Current Working at Heights, Confined Space and Gas Test Atmospheres Certificates

• Licence to Perform High Risk Work - Elevated Work Platform (EWP) & Basic Rigging (RB) a bonus

• Boilermakers must demonstrate competency in all welding processes during skills testing

• Strong commitment to safety
