Head of Digital - Marketplaces

Brand Collective is entering an exciting new chapter as we build our marketplace capability and create a new digital retail channel for our portfolio of brands.

We’re looking for a commercially driven Head of Digital Marketplaces to lead this journey from the ground up. Reporting to the Group GM – Digital & Ecommerce, you’ll own the strategy, P&L and performance of our marketplace business, building the operating model, growing the channel and shaping how we show up in the marketplace space.

This is a unique opportunity to build, lead and make your mark on a significant new digital initiative within a growing multi-brand retail group.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Set the strategy and operating model for Brand Collective’s new marketplace business.
• Own the P&L, driving sales, GMV, margin, growth and investment.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team with clear priorities and accountability.
• Build the marketplace proposition across sellers, categories, range and customer experience.
• Lead trading performance, using data and insight to drive growth and commercial decisions.
• Shape the marketplace technology, systems and operating ecosystem with Digital, IT and external partners.
• Drive seller acquisition, partner performance and category growth.
• Own the customer experience across product discovery, merchandising, search, content and conversion.
• Partner across Merchandise, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Care and Digital to deliver an end-to-end marketplace experience.
• Provide clear commercial reporting and recommendations to senior leadership.

ABOUT YOU

• 7+ years’ experience leading ecommerce, digital retail or marketplace businesses.
• Proven ownership of an ecommerce or marketplace P&L.
• Experience building and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
• Track record delivering major ecommerce launches, marketplace builds or transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of marketplace models, sellers, partners and commercial growth.
• Highly commercial and data-driven, with a strong track record of trading digital businesses.
• Strong understanding of digital customer experience, ecommerce and marketplace technology.
• Confident senior stakeholder, influencer and negotiator.
• Strategic, decisive and customer-focused, with the energy to build something new.
