About the Role

DHHI Australia is seeking a Project Controls Engineer/Coordinator  to support the successful delivery of a major bulk materials handling project at Parker Point.

This contract role will mobilise to site in October and is expected to run for at least 12 months. Working on a 2:1 FIFO roster, you will provide project controls support across planning, scheduling, cost control and reporting while working closely with the Project Manager and site delivery team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated project controls professional looking to gain hands-on experience on a significant mining infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

Project Controls

• Support the development and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6.

• Monitor project progress against schedule and identify potential delays or risks.

• Assist with project planning and coordination activities throughout project execution.

Cost Control

• Track project costs, commitments and forecasts.

• Assist with budget monitoring and cost reporting.

• Support the Project Manager with cost analysis and commercial reporting.

Project Support

• Provide day-to-day project controls support to the site Project Manager.

• Coordinate project documentation, registers and reporting requirements.

• Assist with project meetings, action tracking and progress updates.

• Prepare weekly and monthly project reports.

• Maintain project documentation and document control systems.

• Ensure project records are accurate, current and compliant with company requirements.

Safety & Compliance

• Promote a strong safety culture and comply with all site safety procedures.

• Ensure reporting and documentation meet project and client requirements.

Key Outcomes

• Accurate and up-to-date project schedules.

• Timely cost reporting and budget visibility.

About You

You will be a proactive and organised project controls professional with experience supporting mining, construction or heavy industrial projects.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in project controls, planning, scheduling or project administration.

• Working knowledge of Primavera P6.

• Experience supporting project cost control and forecasting.

• Strong reporting and documentation skills.

• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.

• Previous FIFO or major project experience will be highly regarded.
