HVAC Service Manager

About the role

Eagle Air is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our service operations in Sydney NSW 2000. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in managing our heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration service delivery. As HVAC Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our team of technicians, ensuring service excellence, and driving operational efficiency across all our client accounts. This role is pivotal to maintaining Eagle Air's reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction in the competitive air conditioning and refrigeration industry.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of HVAC technicians, including scheduling, performance monitoring and professional development

• Oversee all aspects of service delivery to ensure work meets safety standards, quality expectations and customer requirements

• Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and emergency service responses for commercial and residential clients

• Manage service calls, dispatch operations and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction

• Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, environmental standards and industry best practices

• Liaise with clients to understand their HVAC needs, address concerns and build long-term business relationships

• Track service metrics, prepare reports and identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost optimisation

• Manage inventory of parts and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance of service vehicles

• Assist with technical troubleshooting and complex installations when required

• Train and mentor technicians on new systems, safety procedures and customer service excellence

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC service management or a senior technician role within air conditioning and refrigeration

• Strong technical knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and their maintenance

• Proven track record of managing teams effectively and fostering a positive, safety-conscious workplace culture

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and stakeholders

• Relevant qualifications such as a refrigeration mechanic's licence, HVAC certification or equivalent recognised credentials

• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and refrigeration standards

• Proficiency with service management software and basic computer systems

• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites across Sydney and surrounds

• Preferred: Experience with predictive maintenance, energy efficiency solutions and commercial account management
