Disability Support Worker

We're hiring a Disability Support Worker in Tarneit, VIC, 3029.

Advantage Healthcare Support (AHS) is looking for a caring and reliable Disability Support Worker to support a young female participant in her home.

About You:We are looking for a support worker who is:

Female (participant preference).Tagalog or Indonesian speaking.Experienced supporting people with Cerebral Palsy and complex physical disabilities.Confident with personal care, manual handling and mobility support.Reliable and committed to providing consistent support.Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with families and support teams.Comfortable supporting alternative and non-verbal communication methods.

About the Role:The participant has a physical disability and requires support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and communication.

The Successful Applicant Will Support The Participant To

Maintain independence and wellbeing through daily personal care support.Assist with showering, dressing, hygiene, and continence care.Support safe transfers and mobility using prescribed equipment.Encourage participation in exercise and mobility activities.Assist with communication strategies and promote choice and independence.Access the community and participate in meaningful activities.Provide companionship and emotional support respectfully and inclusively.

Shifts Available

Monday to Sunday (TBC on exact days).Starting with shifts from 12pm - 3pm.

Compliance Requirements

NDIS Workers Screening Check (Service NSW).Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.Working with Children Check (WWCC).Preferably driving with a full Australian driver’s licence, own car with comprehensive car insurance.
