Bakers Delight Somerville is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Baker to join our team and learn the baking trade.

No previous baking experience is required — we are looking for the right person with a great attitude, strong work ethic and genuine willingness to learn.

This is a hands-on role where you will work alongside our experienced bakers while completing your baking apprenticeship and developing the skills needed to become a qualified baker.

About the role

As an Apprentice Baker, you will learn all aspects of working in a busy commercial bakery, including:

● Preparing and making dough from scratch

● Baking and finishing a wide range of breads and bakery products

● Learning oven work and production processes

● Producing consistent, high-quality products

● Following recipes, procedures and production schedules

● Maintaining an exceptionally clean, organised and safe work environment

● Cleaning equipment, benches and production areas throughout the shift

● Following food safety and WHS requirements

● Assisting with stock rotation and ingredient management

● Working efficiently as part of a fast-paced bakery team

Hours

This is a full-time apprenticeship and applicants must be available for early morning starts.

Our bakery operates early, with shifts generally commencing between 4:00am and 7:00am, so reliable transport is essential.
