The practice values professionalism, ethical conduct, and a respectful environment for both patients and team members.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site VR General Practitioner role based at Pan Medical Centre in Thomastown, VIC. The VR GP will provide primary care consultations, including diagnosis, management, and follow-up of acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages. Daily responsibilities include conducting thorough clinical assessments, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting investigations, and coordinating care with allied health professionals and specialists. The role also involves preventive health activities such as health checks, vaccinations, and chronic disease management plans, as well as maintaining accurate clinical documentation and complying with relevant clinical and practice policies. The VR GP will participate in practice meetings, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and support a culture of safety, respect, and collaboration.QualificationsCurrent specialist registration as a General Practitioner (VR) with AHPRA and eligibility for Medicare provider number.Strong clinical skills in primary care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and chronic disease management.High standard of communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.Commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and adherence to ethical and regulatory requirements.Ability to manage time effectively, work independently in a busy practice setting, and contribute positively to team culture.Experience with clinical software and electronic medical records; familiarity with Australian healthcare and Medicare systems is advantageous.Interest in areas such as preventive medicine, mental health, women’s and men’s health, or paediatrics will be highly regarded.
