About the Role:

We are seeking a Full-Time Duty Manager to join our team as we welcome guests back to our newly refurbished hotel. This is a dynamic leadership role at the heart of our Front Office Team, where you'll help deliver exceptional guest experiences every shift. Stepping in for the Hotel Manager when required, you'll oversee daily operations, keep things running smoothly and professionally, and play a key role in hotel security, team performance, and driving profitability across departments.

What you'll do:

• Lead hotel operations during shifts in the absence of senior management, overseeing Front Office standards, staff presentation, and service delivery across departments
• Maintain high guest satisfaction by proactively resolving issues and complaints, while fostering a welcoming, sales-focused service culture
• Monitor security, safety, and WH&S compliance, ensuring effective incident management
• Drive occupancy and revenue through rate management strategies and collaboration with key departments
• Manage staff end-to-end — training, rostering, cost control, and entitlements (overtime, leave, breaks) — to meet financial and service targets

What you'll bring:

• 1+ years' experience as a Duty Manager (or similar) in a branded or independent hotel, confidently leading operations in the absence of senior management
• Strong knowledge of Front Office operations — rostering, arrivals/departures, team coordination — with a solution-focused approach to security, complaints, and incidents
• A commercial mindset, with a track record of driving occupancy and revenue and excellent guest-facing communication skills
• A commitment to high service standards aligned with brand values, along with confidence in WH&S compliance, crisis management, and safeguarding guest and asset safety
