Join the World Heritage Cruises Team – 2026/27 Season

World Heritage Cruises is a family-owned cruise operator based in Strahan, on Tasmania’s stunning west coast. We operate daily cruises into the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Wilderness Gordon River, showcasing one of the world’s last cool temperate rainforests. With decades of experience, we pride ourselves on exceptional service, passionate crew, and unforgettable guest experiences.

We are recruiting casual staff for our 2026/27 cruise season (September to May). If you enjoy working with people, providing exceptional customer service, and being part of a friendly team, we'd love to hear from you.

For the right applicants, there is the opportunity for ongoing permanent employment.

1. Senior Galley Crew

Lead our onboard galley operations, preparing and serving quality meals while maintaining high food safety standards. This role is responsible for food preparation, stock ordering and control, menu planning, and ensuring the galley is clean, organised, and fully equipped. You will also assist with passenger service to help deliver an exceptional cruise experience.

2. Boat Crew

Provide outstanding onboard customer service while supporting the day-to-day operation of our vessel. Duties include food and beverage service, bar service, passenger assistance, vessel presentation, stock replenishment, safety support, and basic deck hand duties when required.

3. Cruise Guide / Boat Crew

Share the unique stories of Tasmania's World Heritage wilderness while ensuring guests enjoy a memorable day on the water. This role combines guided commentary and exceptional customer service with general boat crew responsibilities, including passenger assistance, vessel presentation, safety support, and assisting with daily onboard operations.

4. Front Office Reception

Be the welcoming face of World Heritage Cruises and help ensure our cruises operate at their full potential. This role includes managing bookings, providing exceptional customer service, processing payments, coordinating office, souvenir and vessel stock orders, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the business. Strong computer skills, excellent organisation, and the ability to multitask in a busy tourism environment are essential.

• Reliable, punctual & available to work from September 2026 through to May 2027

• Passionate about providing excellent customer service

• A team player who is happy to help wherever needed

• Keen to share Tasmania and its incredible wilderness with our visitors

• Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster

• Hold a current Australian driver’s licence

Previous tourism, hospitality, customer service or marine experience is beneficial for some roles, but a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important.
