Registrar - Trainee - Public Health Medicine
This is a Recruitment for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 3 years with the possibility of extension(s).
Appointments for this position will not commence until 2027.
Salary: MP Year 1-7 $135,085 - $188,817 p.a. (plus 12% superannuation and professional development allowance) (effective from 3 September 2026).
Position Profile: The successful applicant will work as a public health registrar in the Boorloo (Perth) Public Health Unit (Boorloo PHU). Under the supervision of the public health physician, and within a multi-disciplinary team, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop competencies, skills and knowledge relevant to the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine (AFPHM) advanced training in public health medicine.
Area Profile: The Boorloo PHU is responsible for the management of notifiable infectious diseases, to protect the community and prevent disease outbreaks in metropolitan Perth. Boorloo PHU also works collaboratively with immunisation service providers and other stakeholders to deliver WA immunisation programs.
