Venue Manager - Catering & Clubhouse Operations

$120,000–$130,000 + super | Full-time

This is not your typical Venue Manager role.

The Fresh Collective is looking for an experienced hospitality leader to take ownership of our food and beverage operations at Strathfield Golf Club, while also providing operational leadership across key areas of the broader Clubhouse experience.

It’s a diverse operation – a busy seven-day Bistro, Halfway Kiosk servicing golfers and a substantial events business including corporate functions, celebrations, golf days and regular last-minute wakes.

Alongside the Fresh operation, you’ll provide leadership and oversight across the Clubhouse Bar and Reception, helping create a consistent, welcoming experience for members and guests throughout the venue.

The role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Overall management of Bistro 18, Halfway Kiosk and catering operations
• Leading, coaching and developing the Fresh FOH team and supervisors
• Operational delivery of large functions, golf days and last-minute events
• Bistro bookings and planning for large groups
• Rostering, labour, stock, COGS and financial performance
• Driving service standards, member engagement and revenue growth
• Providing operational leadership across the Clubhouse Bar and Reception
• Coaching and developing the Club-employed Bar Manager and Reception team
• Improving presentation, cleanliness, efficiency and consistency across guest-facing areas
• Working collaboratively with Club management, Golf, Memberships, Events and other stakeholders
• Acting as Approved Manager/Licensee as required 

About you

You’re an experienced hospitality leader who is comfortable with a broad remit and enjoys being part of the operation.

You’ll bring:

• Strong restaurant, club, hotel or multi-outlet management experience
• Demonstrated experience managing large functions and events
• Strong FOH leadership and a genuine understanding of great service
• Commercial confidence across labour, COGS, revenue and profitability
• Experience developing managers and building accountable teams
• Strong organisation and a practical, solutions-focused approach
• The confidence to work with senior stakeholders and build genuine relationships with members and regulars
• Current NSW RSA plus NSW Approved Manager or Licensee accreditation, or eligibility and willingness to obtain it
