Property Officer

Built to Rent Group is a growing property management business with a strong focus on delivering exceptional experiences for our owners and residents. With a growing portfolio across Sydney and Melbourne, we’re looking for a Property Officer to join our small, collaborative Sydney team.

Based in our Glebe office, you’ll work alongside our Property Managers to support the day-to-day management of a residential portfolio spanning the Greater Sydney area.

About the Role

As a Property Officer, you’ll work closely with our Property Managers to ensure our properties, owners and residents receive a high level of service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting routine inspections and property inspections

• Assisting with open homes and leasing activities

• Liaising with prospective and current residents

• Following up maintenance and property issues

• Assisting Property Managers with the day-to-day management of their portfolios

• Maintaining strong relationships with owners, residents and trades

• Supporting the team with administrative and property management tasks

• Ensuring properties are well presented and maintained

• Providing a positive and professional customer experience at every interaction

The role includes Saturday inspections, with a weekday RDO to give you some extra flexibility during the week.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and genuinely enjoys working with people.

You’ll ideally have:

• A current NSW Property Certificate of Registration (Assistant Agent) or Real Estate Licence

• A current Australian driver’s licence

• Your own reliable vehicle

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• A customer-focused approach

• The ability to work independently while being a strong team player

• A willingness to learn and develop your property management skills

Real estate experience is preferred, but we’re open to the right person with a great attitude and a willingness to learn.

We use modern technology to make property management easier and more efficient, including:

• MRI Property Tree

• FLK It Over

• IRE

Experience with these systems is an advantage, but training will be provided.
