About the role
As an Adult Mental Health Clinician, you will provide assessment, evidence-based treatment, case management, and crisis intervention services to adults experiencing mental health challenges within a multidisciplinary community team. Working collaboratively with consumers, carers, and healthcare partners, you will support recovery-focused outcomes and deliver high-quality, person-centred mental health care across the Tumut community.

About The Role
Join our multidisciplinary Community Mental Health team in Tumut and play a vital role in supporting adults experiencing mental illness, psychological distress, and crisis. You will deliver evidence-based assessment, treatment, crisis intervention, and case management services while working collaboratively with consumers, carers, healthcare providers, and community partners to promote recovery-focused outcomes.
As the Community Mental Health Clinician - Adult, you will be responsible for:
Conduct mental health assessments, triage, care planning, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Provide case management and recovery-oriented support for people living with complex and enduring mental health conditions.Deliver crisis intervention services and respond to consumers experiencing acute mental health needs. Collaborate with consumers, carers, multidisciplinary teams, GPs, and community agencies to achieve positive health outcomes. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure practice aligns with relevant legislation, professional standards, and the Mental Health Act.
Our Ideal Candidate Will
Relevant qualification in line with the Allied Health Professionals state award, with professional registration or eligibility for Membership with governing bodies, i.e. AASW, AHPRA Experience providing assessment, treatment, and therapeutic interventions for people experiencing mental illness and psychological distress. Strong knowledge of contemporary mental health practices, including case management, recovery-oriented care, and collaborative service delivery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with consumers, carers, colleagues, and community stakeholders. The ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating sound clinical judgement, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering person-centred care A current Class C driver's licence Current Australian working rights
