Estimator – Data Centres & Mission Critical Infrastructure

Crossmuller is growing and we're looking for an experienced Estimator with proven data centre experience to help secure and deliver some of Australia's most exciting mission-critical infrastructure projects. 

From hyperscale data centres and critical infrastructure through to complex electrical and building services installations, you'll play a key role in developing accurate estimates, identifying commercial opportunities and supporting the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion. 

The Opportunity 

At Crossmuller, you'll work closely with clients, builders, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and delivery teams to develop competitive and commercially robust solutions. 

You'll be involved from the earliest stages of project development, reviewing drawings, specifications and client requirements to prepare detailed estimates, tender submissions and project budgets for complex data centre projects. 

This is more than a traditional estimating role. You'll contribute to project strategy, support client discussions, assist with contract reviews and work closely with operational teams to ensure successful project outcomes. 

What You'll Bring 

Essential 

• Proven experience estimating data centre projects 

• Experience preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions for electrical, building services or mission-critical infrastructure projects 

• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation 

• Experience obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor pricing 

• Strong understanding of project costing, procurement and commercial risk 

• Experience developing project budgets, cost plans and tender documentation 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 

• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail 

Desirable 

• Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 builders 

• Knowledge of electrical, controls, automation or integrated technology systems 

• Experience reviewing contracts, variations and procurement requirements 

• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
